Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how SKU Scribes ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our inventory management services, including our website and mobile applications.

1. Who we are

SKU Scribes provides tools to help businesses track stock, scan barcodes, and manage team access to inventory data. Contact for privacy questions: use the support channel listed on our website or app settings when available.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: such as name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you create an account or sign in (including with Google or other providers we enable).
  • Business and inventory data: information you enter into the service, including product names, SKUs, quantities, categories, activity logs, and workspace or team membership details.
  • Camera: if you use barcode scanning, the app may access your device camera to capture images for decoding barcodes. We do not use the camera for unrelated purposes.
  • Billing: if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processors (for example Stripe on the web, or Google Play with optional subscription platforms such as RevenueCat on Android) receive the information required to process payments and subscriptions. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Technical data: basic device or browser information, IP address, and diagnostic logs may be collected by our hosting and service providers to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
  • To authenticate you and enforce workspace permissions and plan limits.
  • To process subscriptions and communicate about billing where applicable.
  • To protect the security and integrity of our systems and users.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us run the product, including:

  • Google Firebase (or similar infrastructure we configure) for authentication, database storage, and related backend services.
  • Payment and subscription providers such as Stripe (web), Google Play Billing (Android), and, where configured, RevenueCat or similar platforms that relay subscription status to our backend.
  • Hosting and deployment providers used to serve our website and APIs.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

5. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable law and legitimate business needs (for example, retaining minimal billing records where required).

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the nature of the service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and protect your account credentials.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support options we provide. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

To delete your SKU Scribes account, follow the instructions on our account deletion page (web or mobile app).

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or legal mechanisms for such transfers.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy, where permitted by law.

11. Contact

For privacy-related requests or questions, contact us through the support email or form published on skuscribes.com when available, or via your account support channel in the app.

Note: This policy is provided for transparency about our product. It is not legal advice. You may wish to have a qualified attorney review it for your jurisdiction and business practices.
